Howling Halloween - October 19, 20, 26 and 27, 2012
Ever hear those mysterious bumps in the night on a camping trip that set your nerves on end? It's about time you headed out with us into wild Florida to face those fears once and for all as we go in search of the legendary skunk ape.
Brace yourself for all new frights on the Screamline Halloween Zipline Adventure. This year, we're forming an expedition to go in search of the skunk ape. Legend has it this so called "mythical" creature makes an angry bigfoot look downright friendly. This one of a kind Halloween zipline adventure will allow those brave enough and fool hearty enough to step off into the darkness 68 feet off the ground flying through the trees at speeds up to 30 miles per hour through 7 screaming ziplines and 3 spirited bridges. From the 10 treetop observation platforms, you'll have the perfect vantage point to search for evidence of the skunk ape. Who knows, you might just be the one who finally proves his existence. That is, if he lets you live to tell the tale.

Participants must be age 10 or older and weigh between 70 and 275lbs. Must have pants, closed toe shoes and no loose or flowing costumes to participate in the Screamline. Plan on at least a 2.5 hour visit.

13th Annual Patrick Smith Days - November 16-18, 2012
Get ready for some Fall fun at our Patrick Smith Days, celebrating all things Florida. The popular annual event is in honor of Patrick Smith, a great storyteller, author and historian who's been recognized as "the greatest living Floridian" by the Florida historical society. Quite a title, right? He's written some amazing books about the pioneer days of Florida inlcuding his most well known historical epic "A Land Remembered".
We love Patrick Smith's books because they're filled with so much of what makes Florida EcoSafaris at Forever Florida special including the animals, pristine natural ecosystems and above all else ADVENTURE! On November 16, 17 and 18, 2012, we're offering the "A Land Remembered" Coach Safari. The special fully-guided 2 hour tour of Forever Florida highlights the pristine ecosystems of the conservation lands and the working Crescent J Ranch tied into the amazing stories told by Patrick Smith. It's a special journey through the settings of Patrick Smith's works that's only available during Patrick Smith Weekend! Tickets for the "A Land Remebered" Coach Safari are $32 Ad, $28 Ch(ages 6-11) with kids ages 5 and under free if sitting on a parent's lap.
Saturday November 17, 2012, we'll welcome artists,authors and artisans to diplay their Florida heritage wares. A special private BBQ lunch will be offered in the Cypress Restaurant at 12pm featuring keynote speaker Charlie Bronson telling the tale of Florida's unique Cracker Horses as you enjoy a great meal, all for just $15 per person with proceeds benefitting the conservation efforts of the Allen Broussard Conservancy. Call 407-957-9794 to make advance reservations for the lunch to make sure we have a seat saved for you. All day Saturday, a special Ranch Sorting Competition will be held in the Crescent J Ranch Corral with fun for spectators and competitors alike. The timed challenge will have teams on horseback competing to be the best at moving cattle and sorting through the herd in a fast paced game of horse and cow. This is competion Florida cowhunter style and not to be missed by any specatators. Teams wishing to compete can sign up by emailing Cynthia Davis at CDavis@FloridaEcoSafaris.com. There is no charge for spectators to come in, enjoy the vendors and view the competition so plan to make a day of it.
This year, we've set up a very special adventure for those wanting the real experience of the Florida pioneers found in Patrick Smith's books. On Saturday November 17, 2012 a Patrick Smith themed Overnight Horseback Safari will be heading out for an adventure into the conservation lands including 6 total hours of scenic riding (3 out, 3 back the next day), overnight camping, meals and stories around the campfire, all led by your cowhunter guide. Your adventure starts with the 12pm BBQ lunch featuring keynote speaker Charlie Bronson before heading out into wild Florida. The Overnight Horseback Safari is $199 per person and includes 3 meals, guides and horses. Just bring your sleeping bag and a sprit of adventure. Must be at least 12 years old and weigh no more than 275lbs to participate. Space is very limited for this special Overnight Horseback Safari so please make your reservations early by calling 407-957-9794.
All the proceeds from these special Patrick Smith Days activities go to benefit the Allen Broussard Conservancy, A 501C3 nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving and protecting Florida's wilderness. Thanks for helping us save wild Florida!

Florida EcoSafaris at Forever Florida presents a family holiday adventure like none other. The Holiday Lights Zipline Safari will take you caroling through the Forever Florida Wildlife Conservation Area 68 feet off the ground through Florida's very own winter wonderland. You’re the star on these treetops as you zip your way through the night sky along 7 different ziplines, 10 aerial observation platforms and 2 free-walking sky bridges. It's all the fun of a Starlight Zipline Safari plus some special holiday lights, music and fun along the way. The special holiday adventure runs Saturday nights throughout December.
