Overnight Horseback Safari
Get away from it all on an Overnight Horseback Safari. You'll set out on horseback into Forever Florida's 4700 acres of pristine wilderness led by one of our expert "cow-hunter" guides. You'll feel like a pioneer as you traverse scenic and historic trails first used for horseback riding by
Native Americans back in the 1500's. Along the three-hour journey to the campsite, you'll experience diverse ecosystems ranging from Pine Flatwoods to wetlands, spot wildlife, and enjoy the pleasures of simpler times. Riding instruction is included so first-timers ages 12 and up are welcome.
Even the city slickers will enjoy the trip as the overnight camping facilities feature restrooms, showers and limited power access. The safari includes horses, riding instruction, a campfire dinner, two-person tents, campfire breakfast, an expert guide and, upon returning to civilization, lunch in the Cypress Restaurant. The spirit of adventure and a big night sky full of stars are also included, courtesy of Forever Florida. Bring your sleeping bag and get ready for a truly unique Florida adventure.

Rawhide Roundup
Were you the kid in cowboy boots who day-dreamed about life on a ranch? Well, it's not too late! Step out of your day-to-day life and try out a new career as a cow hunter. You'll enjoy a three-hour experience with a real Florida cow hunter. (Don't call 'em cowboys unless you want trouble!) Working on horseback on the Crescent J Ranch, you'll enjoy a fun day learning the basics of herding cattle and tending a real Florida ranch.
The Crescent J is one of only a handful of ranches that raises Spanish Colonial Cattle. It's a veritable living museum as the herd's historic lineage goes back to the cattle brought over hundreds of years ago by Ponce de Leon and the earliest of Florida's Spanish settlers. But watch out, they're quick. By the end of the day, you'll be an expert cow hunter ready to start up a herd of your own.
