A major element in our effort to preserve Florida's natural resources is education. We have found that most people, when they understand our ecology and how to preserve it, begin to take steps to protect our quickly changing state. The earlier we start, the faster we can help the environment.
Forever Florida has created a fully integrated Florida Ecosystem Educational Program designed to provide unique hands-on experiences, complemented by web-based in-classroom support with documented Sunshine State Standards.
This support for the education process includes:
- Field Trip experiences at Forever Florida and Florida EcoSafaris
- On-line resource materials such as background information and digital images
- Lesson plans on Florida's environmentally-related topics with documented Sunshine State Standards and assessment tools
This two-tiered teaching program is designed to provide you with the tools you need to create an interesting and effective educational program for your students that integrates seamlessly with real-world learning during a visit to Forever Florida.
Each program comes complete with age-appropriate pre and post-experience tests, interactive mini-lessons and referenced resources. Each program has been developed to fully support the Florida Sunshine State Standards and the Florida FCAT Science requirements to ensure our programs are as valuable as possible to you and your students.
All of our programs have been designed to provide a memorable, educational experience about and within Florida's delicate and unique ecosystem.
